Excelsior Springs Coal Fired Power Plant, Missouri Delayed

The construction of the coal fired power plant east of Excelsior Springs has been delayed because of the financial and environment concerns. The cost to build the plant had increased from just under $1 billion to $1.7 billion, and regulations for costly carbon dioxide controls are being considered by Congress. Burning coal also get protest by activist which affected global warming pollution. This will force them to find other sources of generation especially gas or nuclear plant.
