Truflo Valves Limited

In a blowdown system, there are few critical valves exist. Usually ball valve and needle valve have been used. One of the repo valve used in hydro station is Truflo Valves Limited. 

Are this OEM player still exist in the hydro power plant industry? As I noticed it is quite difficult to find whether to purchase complete set of valve or their parts.

What is the Main Inlet Valve?

Main inlet valve or shortly we say MIV is the spherical valve which installed before water enter into spiral casing of the hydro turbine.

Water from the dam go to the penstock and before water enter the turbine, MIV is a component in between stop the water for small maintenance purpose in the turbine hall.

What type of servicing did this Fisher guys to the Fisher Valve?

• Collect the machining coupling from the machine shop
• Remove actuator
• Install new actuator on the valve
• Set the tubing and fittings
• Valve calibration
• Mount the volume tank near to the wall support
• Perform calibration and fine tuning on the volume booster
• Result satisfactory. Stroking speed up to 2 seconds

This is the thing they puton their report. Looks weired.... Mmm... Anyway, the valve can operate smoothly.
